Senior ETRM Business Analyst

About the Role 

We are looking for a Senior ETRM Business Analyst to join our growing Trailstone Technology Team; a small but international department that offers an immediate tangible impact on our business and global exposure from day one. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of energy trading processes, risk management practices, and regulatory compliance, combined with technical expertise in ETRM systems, with a preference for Endur. 

Due to the global impact of this position, with main internal stakeholders in North America, this role will have the following working hours: 11:00 - 19:00 UK time zone.

This role will be based in our London office and will be a full-time position owning the following responsibilities:

  • Being the key contact for all global based ETRM (Endur) initiatives, whether BAU or special projects. 
  • Stakeholder management of Front Office to Back Office users; working closely to turn business requirements into technical solutions. 
  • Acting as a SME for Trailstone’s ETRM (Endur) Road Map, designing and orchestrating landscape strategy across the company. 
  • Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies for new system functionalities, ensuring compliance with US market standards and internal quality benchmarks.
  • Managing L3 Production Support issues and being able to shift priorities at short notice.
  • Developing project plans, managing project scope, prioritizing requests and proactively resolving issues. 

 

About You 

This person will be an autonomous worker, confident with energy trading & risk management solutions, and able to successfully collaborate with front-to-back-office stakeholders.

In addition, we are looking for somebody with the following:

Required Experience:

  • Strong experience working in an agile techno-functional environment.
  • Extensive domain knowledge of ETRM Front-to-Back business processes; including trade exchange integration, trade capture, trade valuation, confirmations, invoicing, and risk reporting.
  • Proficient understanding of ETRM system architecture and functionality. As we use Endur, this will be our preference, however significant knowledge and experience with the following ETRM systems could also be transferrable: Findur, RightAngle or Allegro. 
  • Strong working experience with T-SQL (SQL Server or Oracle).
  • Proven ability to collaborate successfully and work autonomously.
  • Extensive knowledge of Financial and Physical North American Power and Gas Markets.
  • US or EU Renewables Trading knowledge is a big plus.

Non-Essential, but Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in upgrading and designing in-house ETRMs or migrating to different ETRMs.
  • Understanding code and debugging, familiar with JVS/Java Development for OpenLink Endur.
  • Experience with Python and REST APIs.
